Lights back up and the three
members of CAST TWO enter
onto their previous set. No
set pieces are brought on or
taken off.
STEVEN is still tied up. He
is beaten. JACOB and CAROL
are sitting and waiting.

JACOB
What is this crap, Stevie? Did you even call the right
number?

CAROL
We'll kill you.

STEVEN
I did, I did. Should I call again?

CAROL
Oh, no. We're not letting you move and inch, bucko.

JACOB
You're disgusting. We should kill you.

STEVEN
I'll do whatever you say.

JACOB
We don't ask for much Steve.

CAROL
Where the FUCK IS MARK, STEVEN!!

STEVEN
I don't know, I don't know. NO!

CAROL and JACOB converge on
STEVEN and beat him badly.
In the spirit, they also
cause quite a disturbance to
the set.

CAROL
Maybe we really should kill the bastard.

JACOB
What would be the point of that?

CAROL
None, really.

JACOB
Should I go look for him?

CAROL
It doesn't have to be him, just anybody. The more the
merrier.

JACOB
I guess you are right. It doesn't matter.

CAROL
Look outside. Try and get the next one that walks by.

JACOB goes to a "window" and
looks out.

JACOB
There's no one there.

CAROL
We can't just keep beating Steven.

JACOB
Yeah.

CAROL
Wait. Be quiet.

They fall silent. A few
moments pass. FATHER and SON
enter the stage from the
opposite end. They are
trying to be quiet.

FATHER
Nothing is changing. It doesn't matter how long we go
for.

SON
Maybe we should have gone with the woman.

FATHER
What are you kidding? She probably would have dropped us
right back where we started from. Is that what you want?

SON
Well, this is better than that. Definitely. I just wish
we would get somewhere.

JACOB leaves his set.
FATHER and SON are startled
to see him. JACOB stays
close to his house.

JACOB
How's it going? Are you guys lost?

FATHER
No. We're just passing by.

JACOB
Why don't you come in for a drink?

SON
	(To FATHER)
What do you think?

FATHER
	(To SON)
I don't know. We should probably just keep going.

SON
Come on. He'll probably get us drunk. I need a drink.

FATHER
Well, okay.
	(To JACOB)
Okay, why not.

JACOB
Come on in.

JACOB enters his space. When
FATHER and SON enter, CAROL
smacks SON over the head
with something and JACOB
tackles FATHER and wrestles
him down. There is a
dramatic fight but in the
end both FATHER and SON are
captured and pretty well
beaten.
Blackout.
Now the sets and lights will
not change except that there
are occasional blackouts.
Banjo Music.
Lights up.
The remains of CAST THREE is
sitting at their table.

EMILY
Do you think she'll ever come back?

GREGORY
Of course she will. No one can just stand up and leave.

NICOLAS
Not without looking back.

EMILY
I miss her.

NICOLAS
All you miss is the cocktail waiter.

GREGORY
She will come crawling back to us, I guarantee it.

EMILY
When she does, be nice with her. She made a little
mistake, that's all. You can be so cruel.

GREGORY
I'm not cruel. She walked out on us. She is in the
wrong.

NICOLAS
He's right, Em. She was supposed to auction with us.
Instead she chose to "hang out" with the waiter.

EMILY
Don't you think that she has some reason?

GREGORY
No, I don't. There is no logic in it.

EMILY
You said she was drunk.

NICOLAS
She was not drunk. We had just opened the bottle.

GREGORY
We ought to just forget about her. She's in the past
now.

NICOLAS
That's a good idea. Emily, you should think about what
you're saying. Do you want to leave too?

EMILY
No.

NICOLAS
Okay, good girl.

GREGORY
What shall we do this evening?

NICOLAS
Hmmm. Any openings tonight?

GREGORY
Impressionists.

NICOLAS
Boring. Where's the waiter?

EMILY
I don't think there is one.

GREGORY
I think she's right.

NICOLAS
We should stop coming here anyway.

EMILY
There's always "Koko's"

GREGORY
Good thinking.

NICOLAS
Oooh. Let's go.

Blackout.
Lights up and CAMILLE, MARK,
MOTHER and DAUGHTER are
sitting at the same table.

CAMILLE
Where are you coming from?

MOTHER
We've been travelling quite a bit.

CAMILLE
Oh? Just the four of you?

MOTHER
Well actually, we've been touring. So there were a lot
of people with us.

MARK
Are you with the circus?

DAUGHTER
No.

MOTHER
We do mostly plays.

CAMILLE
Oh.. What kind of plays?

MOTHER
I don't know. Plays.

CAMILLE
I'm very sorry, but I don't remember if you told me your
names or not. I am Camille. And this is Mark.

MOTHER
I'm... Mary.

MARK
So what's your name?

DAUGHTER
Well I'm Mary too.

CAMILLE
Wonderful. Happenstance or relation?

MOTHER
I guess it is just a coincidence.

MARK
So why then did you decide to stop touring?

MARK is clearly interested
in DAUGHTER.

DAUGHTER
We just left.

MOTHER
One day, no one showed up so we left. You were the first
people we found.

MARK
	(To DAUGHTER)
How old are you?

DAUGHTER
Eighteen.

MARK
Have you been doing this your whole life?

DAUGHTER
Yes.

CAMILLE
When was the last time you had the chance to wander
around like this, with so much free time?

MOTHER
I can't even remember.

DAUGHTER
I don't think ever.

MARK
Have you ever been to the beach? We should take them to
the beach.

DAUGHTER
Never up close.

CAMILLE
That's a fantastic idea. Would you like that?

MOTHER
Yes, I think I would.

DAUGHTER
The beach.

MARK
Let's do it.
	(To DAUGHTER)
You've really never seen the beach?

DAUGHTER
I've always wanted to I think.

MOTHER
You are so kind.

CAMILLE
No. Don't say that. Let's go.

MARK
Right now.

They all exit giddily.
CAST TWO and their captees
enter their space. STEVEN,
FATHER and SON are all bound
or tied. CAROL and JACOB are
on the couch stroking their
chins.

CAROL
So a girl. We need a girl.

JACOB
Not enough girls. Look at this. I feel like we should
rent some porn for Christ's sake.

CAROL
It's a man's world, Jacob.

JACOB
Oh shut up. I've got half a mind to tie you up.

CAROL
Give me a break.

JACOB
What should we do. What should we do.

CAROL
Hmmm.

JACOB
Nobody we know..

CAROL
Nope. Someone new.

JACOB
Three males. What can we do with three males?

CAROL
We should ask those two if they know where we can find a
girl.

JACOB
Yes. I bet they know someone.

CAROL
They have to know someone.

JACOB walks to STEVEN and
pushes him out of the way.
He then goes to FATHER and
SON and de-gags them. He
kicks SON.

JACOB
Yo kid. Wake up. WAKE UP!

SON
What, what.

JACOB
Is this your brother or your dad?

FATHER
We just work together.

JACOB
Good good, all the better.

FATHER
What do you want? We were just passing through.

CAROL goes to FATHER and
beats him as she says:

CAROL
Oh you were just passing through? Well we were just
beating the fuck out of you so shut up and listen. Speak
only when spoken to, okay bucko?

JACOB
You listen to her, Bucko. Alright?

FATHER
Okay, alright.

There is a brief silence.

JACOB
It is very simple. We need a female.

CAROL
We need you to tell us where we can find a girl.

FATHER
We don't know any.

This line is followed by a
severe beating. SON screams.

SON
We were with two women but they deserted us. They left
with another woman and a man. We don't know where they
went.

JACOB
That's the spirit. Now where were you when they left
you.

FATHER
Don't tell them!

SON
I don't know exactly. I think there was a restaurant
nearby. They were going to go to a restaurant.

CAROL
They can't be far. How long has it been?

SON
I don't know.

CAROL and JACOB take off.
Blackout.
